Biography
Jon Nicholls is a Prix Italia-nominated composer and sound designer with a string of commissions for music and sound scores from national broadcasters and theatre companies. Drawing on a huge range of eclectic influences, his work ranges from sweeping orchestral music to abstract electronics, choral writing and quirkily innovative sound design.
His work's been heard extensively on BBC Radio 3 & 4 , BBC TV, Channel 4, and ITV, and at theatres including the RSC and National Theatre.
He received a Jury Special Mention at the 2008 Prix Italia for his music and sound score for Radio 4's acclaimed 'What I Heard About Iraq'.
