Biography

Image of Mark Adair

I provide cutting edge original music for film and television, taking pride in musical excellence & high production quality.

My experience stems from a combination of classical training on guitar and piano, with a 1st class hons music degree from King’s College London, specialising in composition, and a diverse background in performance.

I undertook guitar tuition at the Royal Academy of Music, and played a variety of instruments on tour with jazz bands in France & Switzerland, and a guitar quartet in America, in addition to performing at top London venues such as the Royal Albert Hall and the Southbank complex. In 1999 I won the Composition award at the National Festival of Music for Youth with my guitar quartet. With a wide ranging musical background my composing covers a multitude of genres.

I have been composing for film and television for over 5 years, and have recently undertaken a wide variety of productions, recent examples of which can be seen below.

Feature Comment

"It is indeed offensive to be told to work for free (rarely do producers ask if it is acceptable). However, the choices are radically limited: if one doesn't compose (/record/mix) for free, one does not......"
