Having started out writing songs and collaborating with choreographers, Mat recently began writing music for film and television, and is quickly gaining momentum. After graduating from the National Film & Television School he has worked on such varied projects as Simon Welsford’s feature thriller Jetsam, starring Alex Reid (The Descent) and Jamie Draven (Billy Elliot); Lisa Gornick’s feature comedy Tick Tock Lullaby, starring Raquel Cassidy (Lead Balloon) and Sarah Patterson (The Company Of Wolves); and Kate Hardie’s drama for Channel 4 Lickle Bill Um starring Imelda Staunton (Vera Drake) and Reece Shearsmith (The League Of Gentlemen). His music can also be heard on the TV drama The Secret Diary Of A Call Girl, with Billie Piper as the eponymous prostitute, as well as the recent Yellow Pages “People Behind The Numbers” ad campaign.

Mat is currently working on Avie Luthra’s feature comedy Mad, Sad and Bad, starring Meera Syal (The Kumars At No.42), Jamie Johnson’s feature documentary Sounds Like Teen Spirit (Number 9 Films), and a documentary for Channel 4, entitled, Churchills's Darkest Decision.
