Working track for theatre production. The brief is Bi-polar disorder, and this first piece is descriptive of two aspects of the condition, ‘high’ and ‘low’. The music concentrates on harmonies: there is discord in the ‘low’ part (thick heavy bass tones) but cleaner harmonies in the ‘high’ section. The ‘high’ section reaches a point where it is too ‘sweet’ and it is almost uncomfortable to listen. The piece ends entering another ‘low’. Future tracks will explore other aspects of the condition. |
